President and Chief Executive Officer of the Black AIDS Institute visits Eswatini

Thanks to The Bureau of International Information Programs (IIP), last month the Embassy hosted Mr Phill Wilson who is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Black AIDS Institute. The Institute is a training and mobilization center focused exclusively on black people to stop the AIDS pandemic in black communities. Mr Wilson met with Wellness Coordinators from the Public Sector HIV/AIDS Coordination Committee (@PSHACC), Swaziland Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS (SWABCHA), HealthPlus 4 Men -Swaziland and The Rock of Hope. They engaged on their successes and challenges in the fight against HIV/AIDS, and discussed ways to mobilize institutions and individuals to confront the epidemic. Our friends from HealthPlus 4 Men and The Rock of Hope, with representatives from the LGBTI community and LGBTI allies, shared their personal stories of discrimination and stigma and hope to expand public dialogue around MSM issues and stigma.

In what ways are you helping the country fight the HIV/AIDS pandemic?
