EducationUSA mentors 20 cohort members, traces their journey to the U.S.

Have you heard of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) exam? The SAT is a standardized test that forms part of entrance application requirements for U.S. universities and colleges. Over two million students take the SAT every year and it is used by nearly every college in America for evaluating a student’s college preparedness. The EducationUSA Advising Center in Swaziland hosted its first ever SAT Bootcamp for a group of 20 EducationUSA Scholars. This four-day intensive learning session equipped students with smart test taking strategies.

To prepare for the October 2017 test, students took timed mock tests and a full practice test at the end of the boot camp. Students also learned about new audiovisual and digital technology to improve their learning, thanks to Khan Academy’s interactive videos.
We hope you’ll keep following #TheJourney of these bright young students and encouraging them to reach for the stars! The EducationUSA Advising Center can be reached at 2417-9000.
