DEMONSTRATION ALERT – U.S. Embassy, Ezulwini, Eswatini

Location:  Area surrounding U.S. Embassy, Ezulwini

Event:  The U.S. Embassy has been notified by the Swaziland National Teachers Association of a gathering of several hundred teachers near the U.S. Embassy today, beginning this morning, Thursday, January 27 at approximately 1000 hours.  Embassy staff has been directed to remain in the building.  U.S. citizens are urged to avoid the area of the U.S. Embassy until mid-afternoon.  The Consular entrance will be closed from mid-morning through mid-afternoon.  U.S. citizens needing emergency services should call the Consular Section.

  • Avoid the area of the U.S. Embassy
  • Monitor local media for updates.
  • Avoid crowds.
