Chargé d’Affaires Earl Miller
Ambassador Earl R. Miller, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, arrived in Mbabane in January 2023 as Charge d’Affaires. Ambassador Miller served as Ambassador to Bangladesh from 2018 to 2022. He served as Ambassador to Botswana and U.S. Representative to the Southern African Development Community from 2014 to 2018 and Consul General in Johannesburg from 2011 to 2014. He has served at U.S. embassies in El Salvador, Malaysia, Indonesia, Iraq, and India. Ambassador Miller is a graduate of the University of Michigan and a former Marine Corps officer. He is the recipient of the Department of State’s Distinguished Service Award and Award for Heroism and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Shield of Bravery.
